Snow and ice

On snow or ice, slow down and avoid any sudden reactions.

• Whenever possible, postpone your journey if snow is forecast on your route.
• Drive no closer than 50 m from the vehicle in front.
• Never overtake snowploughs or other road clearance vehicles.
• Avoid changing lane.
• If the situation becomes too difficult, stop at the next rest or service area and wait for instructions from the motorway company personnel.
